How to play
Press the orange play button to start the game, then choose what speed you would like to play at.
You will hear a word from the Dolch Word Pre-Primer List. If you miss it, click the round orange speaker button to hear it again.
Your task is to spell the word by clicking on the letter tiles in turn, so for the word “run”, you need to find the “r” tile and click it first, then the “u”, then “n”. If you click the right letter tile, it will be added to the box above.
If you spell the word before the timer runs out you will hear a ding sound.
Press the Next button to get another word. When you’ve tried spelling 10 words a screen will show you which you got right and which you missed.
Click More to get more words to spell – all will be within the PrePrimer list.
Click a card in the bottom row to see a written word.
Tips
To make the game fullscreen click the button at the top right of the game screen.
Each time you play the game it will give you ten words selected from the Pre-Primer Dolch Word List, so you will need to play it a few times to get a really good practice session.
